Social Media = Social Change

In my opinion social change is a change within a certain group or society that has direct effects on their social behaviour.

The example I found most innovating and rather "ballsy" is http://www.posornot.com/.  The site features pictures of different males and females and the viewers job is to guess whether the featured person is HIV positive or negative just by viewing their photo and reading a few of their interests etc.  It follows the theme of an interactive online guessing game.  This example is great because it gets right to the point,  you cannot tell if someone is HIV positive or negative by the way they look or their personal preferences.  The only way to be sure is to get tested.  The fact that it is somewhat of a game also makes it fun, which in turn makes it easy to keep the viewer interested and more likely to support the cause and help spread the word.

Let me just start by saying how gorgeous Selita Ebanks looked, her makeup and costume was perfect.  Overall I loved the movie although I don’t think I quite understood it.  I thought of it as a look into the world through Kanye’s eyes, but most of the time i couldn’t connect the visuals with the audio, although individually both were great.  Kanye has once again raised the bar for rappers and those involved in hip-hop.  He’s brought a whole new aspect of creative expression to the table and i’m interested to see how other artist react to this.  One of my favourite parts was the ballet dance scene, the choreography and movement of the dancers had me practically mesmerized.

The blog I decided to "review" is The Cab's vocalist Alexander DeLeon's personal tumblr.
The Cab is one of my favourite bands and I've been listening to them forever.  If you're into rock/r&b you"ll probably LOVE them as well.
On this blog Alex posts lyrics, poems, photos from shows, videos of covers he's done & even answers fan questions.  This blog is great because it features audio, visual and written aspects, whatever you're into I'm sure there's a post on this blog for you!
My opinion is probably biased though because i absolutely love this band, he  & have TONS of respect for Alex, I had the joy of meeting him & the rest of the band in May & he was just soo appreciative of his fans and listeners.

Pepsi vs. Coke?

Ummm is Vitamin Water an option?  Cause i'm not really into drinking pop.

I must admit I was a HUGE Coke addict back in my pop drinking days, especially the Vanilla & Cherry flavours.  I actually went into depression when they stopped selling them.  I'm not really sure what it is about Coke that made me love it soo much, I mean the fact that it burns going down & can be used to clean rusted metals isn't very appealing.  Regardless I'd never choose Pepsi over Coke, I didn't even know people still cared about Pepsi.  So if I had to choose it'd definetely be Coke, but I'd much rather Vitamin Water or even plain old H20!

But in all seriousness I will not be participating in the Toronto Mayoral Elections.  To me politics are all about marketing and who's the more convincing liar, most of these guys don't care about our city as much as they let on and half the things politicians promise never get done anyways, and on top of that, debates are used as oppourtunities to get at other opponents personally, if I wanted to see drama I'd watch Jersey Shore.  The one issue I think needs to be dealt with immediately is public transit aka the TTC, it is one of the most common ways of transportation around the city and the service is just ridiculous sometimes.
